The Ostal d’Occitània
The Ostal d’Occitània is in the former residences of two Capitouls Huc de Boysson ( en oc) and Jean de Cheverry (en oc). Dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, these hotels belong to the city of Toulouse. The counts of Toulouse have given to the cities of their territory the freedom to manage themselves. The cities nominate and elect councils. In Toulouse, the members of the councils took the name of Capitouls. They will manage the city from 1141 to 1790.
