Screening of the documentary “Serge Pey and the Cemetery Mailbox”, in which we follow Serge Pey, poet and artist, during the 300 kilometers separating Toulouse from the grave of the poet Antonio Machado. A true “poetic action” and “art project,” a memory of the “500,000 ghosts” of Spanish refugees in France. Along the way, he is accompanied by a few disciples carrying a transparent flag, “The Flag of Poetry,” a tribute, performance, and memory. A few days after crossing the border between Spain and France with his mother, Antonio Machado died exhausted on February 22, 1939, in Collioure. In 1958, his friends—Pablo Casals, René Char, Albert Camus, André Malraux, etc.—offered him a proper burial, a tomb equipped with a mailbox that still receives letters collected weekly by the Antonio Machado Foundation.

In the presence of the director Francis Fourcou.
